SUNDAY MORNING FOR
ADULTS
Classes Sunday morning at 9:45, Jerome offers several adult classes for your
convenience and enjoyment. Each adult class offers biblically-based discussion
and fellowship for those seeking to strengthen their faith. All adults are
welcome and invited to attend!
Adult
Discussion Class
The Adult Discussion Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 in the Education Wing. Come join them any Sunday
as together you learn and grow in Christian love.
Adult
Bible Class
This class enjoys reading and discussing the Bible together.
They are reading through the Old Testament this year. The readings are 20-30
minutes per week and the discussion is free ranging and lively. The class is
appropriate for all participants, from the complete beginner to the serious
student of Scripture. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come experience both
the beauty and meaning of the Bible, along with the fellowship of the class.
The class is currently studying the Book of Matthew.

Lounge
led
by Amy Plank
‘The Lounge’ Sunday school class will begin
meeting September 13 at 9:45 a.m. This class is for parents of young children
and is led by Amy Plank. During the first couple of meetings, the group will
spend time getting to know each other, as well as discuss what they would like
to study in the class in the upcoming months. If you have any questions, please

Daytime – Wednesday mornings from 9:45 -11:30 a.m. or
Nighttime – Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:45 p.m.

Daytime will begin its fall study on Wednesday, September 16 at 9:45
a.m. Women who are interested in attending the class are invited to a Get To
Know You Brunch on Wednesday, September 9 at Denise Gorden's home at 10:00

This fall, the Serendipity Nighttime group
will do a short-term Disciple Bible Study entitled “Invitation to the Old
Testament.” If you have ever taken a Disciple course, you know what an amazing
and enlightening learning experience it can be, regardless of your level of
knowledge and familiarity with the Bible.
Our first class will be Thursday, September 10, at 7:00 p.m. (See the
Newsletter for details).
Frogs
and Toads
This women’s book study
group meets every 4-6 weeks. The group gathers in someone’s home to discuss the
book read the previous month. Check the newsletter for details. Call

Men’s Breakfast
Join the men of Jerome the first Saturday of every month at 7:30 a.m. at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in
Plain City for prayer, breakfast, fellowship, and great conversation. Ladies,

Euchre Party
On the second Friday of each month
(September – May) a euchre party is held at 7:00 p.m. at the church. You may
sign up on the bulletin board in the lobby to play. Everyone brings an appetizer
or dessert to share. Beverages are provided by the host. For more information,

RETREATS
Annual Women's Retreat
Each January there is a Women’s
Retreat at Kirkmont Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This is a great time of
spiritual growth, fellowship, relaxation, and fun with other women from the
church. Our next retreat will be in January of 2009. Mark your calendar now and
watch for more information.
Annual Men’s
Retreat
The
2009 Men’s Retreat was held in February at Kirkmont Center in
Bellefontaine, Ohio. Rev. Steve Harsh was the leader. It was a great time for
the men of the church to become better acquainted, learn, grow, and have fun
together.
